The Dragino SDI-12-LB/LS is an SDI-12 to LoRaWAN Converter designed for Smart Agriculture solutions.

SDI-12 (Serial Digital Interface at 1200 baud) is an asynchronous serial communications protocol for intelligent sensors that monitor environmental data. The SDI-12 protocol is widely used in both Agricultural sensors and Weather Station sensors.

The SDI-12-LB/LS has an SDI-12 interface and supports 12v output to power external SDI-12 sensors. It can receive the environmental data from the SDI-12 sensor and send out the data via the LoRaWAN wireless protocol.

The LoRa wireless technology used in the SDI-12-LB/LS allows device to send data over extremely long ranges at low data-rates. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.

The SDI-12-LB/LS is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery or solar panel + Li-ion battery designed for long term use (up to 5 years).

Each SDI-12-LB/LS is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registrations. Users can register these keys to a local LoRaWAN server and it will auto connect after being powered on.
