The Dragino LMDS200 is a LoRaWAN Microwave Radar distance detection sensor. It uses 24Ghz Microwave radar to detect the distance between the sensor and different objects. Compared to the ultrasonic or Lidar measurement method, Microwave Radar is more reliable for damp/dusty environments. It can sense the correct distance even when there is water or thick dust on top of the sensor.

The LMDS200 can be applied to scenarios such as horizontal distance measurement, parking management systems, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent trash can management systems, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, sewage systems, etc…

The LMDS200 can measure two distances: the closest object and the next object behind the closest one.

The LMDS200 supports the Alarm Feature where the user can set the LMDS200 to uplink data in a short interval when the distance is out of the configured range.

The LoRa wireless technology used in LMDS200 allows devices to send data over extremely long ranges at low data-rates. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.

The LMDS200 is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery which is designed for long term use for up to 5 years.

Each LMDS200 is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration. Once these keys are registered to a local LoRaWAN server, the device will auto connect after it has been powered on.
